He fits the mold of a Sutter type player, he can score and be hard to play against. I think this would be a great add for a team that needs character.

My Scenario
Gaudreau-Monahan-UFA/Trade
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Ritchie-Backlund-Dube
Lucic-Pitlick-Ritchie
Find a decent 2nd line calibre scorer for 5-6 million. Sign Ritchie for 2.5.
Now you have a full and fairly solid 1st/2nd/3rd/4th lines.

Ritchie for me really is the perfect target. This is the Flames' chance to get that 'skill in a physical package' that they are trying to find. Really depends of course on what Ritchie wants in a contract - and I am assuming there will be a lot of bidders - but this is a great target to pursue. This is the type of player that this team is missing.

I'm not big on signing Coleman to a big deal but this lineup is kind of interesting.
It'd be a difficult team to play against. Especially in the playoffs, if they can make it in.
Hard to say if that second line can generate enough offense to win games.
But that third line could be one of the best checking/shutdown lines in the game.
That 4th line is just scary if you are the opposition. Even Dube can throw some big hits.
