Many have said these, but I laugh so much at these:
Tommy Boy
Dumb and Dumber
Wayne's World
Christmas Vacation
Vegas Vacation

Not comedy, but they have some good moments for laughter too:
Lethal Weapon movies

Not movies but I'll watch some old comedy tv series most specifically:
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Friends
Cheers

One of the greatest of all time IMO. Which is the last thing you'd expect of a 2008 comedy.

The Sherlock & Watson "reunion" film didn't do that duo justice.

Like you so said, so dumb yet so funny.
Hey Derek! Sprechen sie dick.

The whole thing is just so dumb. You can see Will Ferell blinking when he's pretending to be dead. It's just over the top but also hilarious.

The pacing of the movie is incredible. That and Dumb and Dumber are probably the top two movies for pulling off that pacing, where every scene is just hilarious.

^To me the notable thing about that movie is that Katherine Hahn steals every scene she's in.

NSFW for cursing

Not going to comment on some of those, but any animated list that omits 'Toy Story' is an animated list not worth having.

Just not Toy Story 3...which is incredibly sad, and doesn't help me laugh in any way.

Presumably someone who realized that it was time to teach the children who grew up on the wonderful and happy Toy Stories 1 and 2 that life is not all sunshine and rainbows and that they were old enough to grow up and embrace the crippling melancholy that is existence.

"Sorry children, you're here to pay bills, be miserable and then die! Thems the breaks....not sorry."

Isn’t the whole point of fictional tv to get away from reality?

My wife and I were in LA when it came out, and it was the movie playing at Mann's Theatre one night when we were in Hollywood and decided to check it out on a whim. I've never heard an audience laugh so hard during a movie.

Turned out it was the opening of the film, and the cast, most of the SNL cast and Lorne Michaels, and many other B-List celebrities were there too.

It also explained why they passed out celery sticks to everyone in the audience on the way in.
