No...to me its all asset management. This team as it sits with Sutter and company simply isnt going full rebuild at this point.
because of some recent deals involving picks, there is a void as you and others have pointed out of ready guys.
So the last thing this club can afford is to see JG limit this club to 5 teams he can go to (which would obviously diminish the return whatever that is) ot even worse, walk for nothing a year from now.

Preferably a RW/RS who can chip in with 20-30 and a 1st round pick. If the team he is going to is likely to finish quite high in the standings then I would want another piece....a 2nd or a promising prospect that may still be a year away.
Otherwise a really good C, but GMs tend to hold onto those. I think Eichel is a pipe dream myself and there are a couple red flags health wise there too.
Your Philly proposal is something i would consider but if im dealing with them i would do anything i could to get Couturier as the return, though it may be impossible and would have to take back an ugly contract as well im thinking.
