On pace for the worst season since the Iginla trade.

He’s not special.
I honestly dont know what you are saying here. It can be read many different ways!

Kylington will be on the Kraken. Young Dman never given a chance! This is what we do. Adam Fox! If he stayed with Calgary he would still be in the minors too.

We do not develop players. We let them sit and rot.

Unless Kylington is better than Tanev, Rasmus, Hanifin, it doesn't really matter how he does if he goes to Seattle its not like they can protect him

maybe they know he is as good as gone so why worry about development in the last few games

Every player to a man has underachieved here. Except maybe Tanev.
Every single GM passed on him for league min and no acquisition cost...its fair to question if fans are overvaluing him.

You protect Kylington over who? Vali if getting the playing time because he is very likely better but besides that he is exempt and will actually be on the team next season.

Because it is a trend with this team. Sign old vets and dont give young guys a shot.

Play the players you draft. Let them lead the way.

I’m saying for whatever reason, they don’t trust Kylington to go on a beer run.

Are they cowards? Of course. They should play him.

This organization plays favorites. It makes no sense why we haven’t seen a single AHL contributor called up to actually contribute.

Like, I know Covid etc but who’s leading the Heat in scoring? Maybe call them up. I don’t care what warts they have defensively, this team sucks and can’t score, so maybe someone who’s scoring elsewhere can score a bit here.

It couldn’t hurt. But try.

Or maybe that’s the point - they’re hiding him from Seattle and making him look like a tire fire. Which is also lame - we don’t have 7 forwards worth protecting, so you can go 4D and protect him if you want.

There’s such a complete lack of direction right now - I do hope Murray and co have the good sense to hire JD and Gorton next week.

I'm glad the Flames did me a solid and got scored on within the first 90 seconds. Instead of painfully sticking with the game, it was an easy decision to just skip forward and see the score creep up. Game in minute!

Sad and pathetic to hear some players in the post game press conference talk about still having a chance, 5 games left, not out of it, etc. Pathetically un-clutch group of players still talking about 'leaving it all on the table' for the remaining games. Big f'ing LOL.

At least Sutter's was straight forward about the players sucking and great to hear him pick a fight with Francis and shake his head at him at his presser. Legit best part of the game.

Hopefully what happened to the Rangers benefits the Flames. Ownership did well to bite the bullet with Ward and bring Sutter. Excellent opportunity to do the same with upper management. I don't have faith they will do the right thing, but the opportunity is laid out in front of them.

Make a statement this season and collection of players/management is not acceptable and start fresh.

Never thought I would see the day where I didn't realize that the Flames played.

Was just scrolling through TSN and "oh the Flames had a game tonight?... Ah well"

Hanifin may have been young but he already had 3 full NHL seasons and a big contract in hand before he laced up with Calgary, If Andersson wasn't a RS he may have not got a call up so soon.

The one I'm worried about is Dustin Wolf, in all likelihood he'll never get a real chance here.

Forgot about the game.

Jets were reeling, Flames. Sure, lose at the end of the night, doesn't matter much now. But don't be the easy slump busters. Don't just go and be exactly what the division expected of Ottawa this year.

No matter who we're facing and in what circumstance, it would he nice to be able to rely on the group having pride in the crest on the jersey.

I don't like that this group needs lots of reason to show up for any given game. There is always reason.

If there isn't, then maybe you shouldn't be lacing them up for the Flames.

Anderson was drafted in the same year and round as Kylington. Did he sit and rot? Mangiapane, Dube and valamaki also say hi.

Did the typical delay start and made it to 2-0 before the fast forwarding began. Habs get spanked and you get in if they go 1-3 in their last 4 all against the Leafs and Oilers and you lay an egg like that against a team that is reeling.

Going to be an interesting offseason

I understand that 23 yo Kylington may not be the answer, but one thing for sure is that 28 yo Nesterov isn't.

I would understand playing Nesterov and Stone if this team was 2 or 3 points back and fighting for a spot, but they aren’t. They’re 10 points back.

Those two aren’t part of the future. Neither are guys like Ritchie and Nordstrom. Time to give some kids a shot. At least it would make me want to watch the team again.

Dube? Mangiapane? Gaudreau? Tkachuk? Monahan? Bennett? Jankowski? They all got the call pretty quickly.

Kylington played 48 games last year. More than Stone. More than Dube. He played 38 the year before, more than Stone and Proust combined. I don’t know the reason he’s not playing this year, but the Flames have played him a lot in the past.

I knew I’d been had when the 2 on 0 breakaway happened during our powerplay.

Fool me once.

You must be young if it's only been once.

Shame on me.
