All I want is for that four game set with the Canucks to end the season to have meaning.

Is that too much to ask?

The Jets are such useless pieces of crap.

You just know they're going to suck ass against the coilers in round 1.

Idiots

Of course they are. They're the most overrated bunch of fools in the league. Starting with Hellebuyck. But we're all supposed to cheer for them because they were "wronged" by the NHL.

Get and stay within 8 points of the Jets? Lol

That would be the most epic collapse ever

The Jets are goddamn useless aren't they.

They're gonna go get swept to the No Goods too.

Useless franchise since they've been reintroduced.

As bad as the Flames have been, I know in my fan heart of hearts that they'd put up a better post-season bid than either the Habs or Jets.

Really a shame they didn't show up vs Ottawa and Darryl was put in charge as late as he was. Now two nothing teams that will do no damage get free berths to the show.

The Sharks are fading as they lose 3-0 to the Avalanche.

The Coyotes are hanging on to a 1-0 lead and could do a favour for Colorado in the chase for first place in the west division.

Literally JUST have to keep the gap with the Habs at 6.

Then you set yourself up for a 3-1 finish vs the Canucks to get in.

To "just" keep the gap with the Habs, the Flames have to be 6 points behind the Habs after they play 7 games while the Flames only play 3 games.
So staying 6 points behind them is impossible unless the Habs go 3-4 in their last 7 while the Flames go 3-0. The Flames then have to go 3-1 against the Canucks on top of that.

So if the Habs, who are 5-6 in their last 11 games, go 3-4 in their last 7, the Flames have to go 6-1. According to sportsclubstats, even if the Flames go 7-0 there is an almost 50% chance of them not making the playoffs.

The chances of Montreal passing Winnipeg are much higher. And the chances of Ottawa passing Calgary are probably higher as well.

The surprise of the night was the Coyotes beating the Knights. Aidin Hill made 25 saves for the SHUTOUT. The win puts the Coyotes 3 points back of the Blues, but, the Blues have 3 games in hand.

The Avs won and that makes them clinch at least 3rd place in their division. They are now 4 points back of the Knights for 1st place. Grubauer made 21 saves for the SHUTOUT. Rantanen had 3 points. The Sharkies sucked on their PP going 0/4. The Avs PP was 2/4. Jones made 33 saves in the loss.

The Kings trailed 1-0 early in the 1st period until the 3rd period when Lias Anderson tied the game with 5 minutes left and then Kopitar scored the GWG with 56 seconds left in reg time. The Ducks can blame themselves as they went 0/4 on the PP. Quick was strong in net making 33 saves. The Kings are 8 points back of the Blues.

A pair of PPGs by the Habs helped get them a big win in their quest for a playoff spot.
