After a shaky first period, that was a really solid win. I thought some of the calls against them were pretty weak in the sense that Edmundson could have had two penalties prior to the retaliation (that being said, you've gotta think that Sutter wasn't impressed with two back to back retaliations by his players).
-Markstrom looked really good today. No issue with either goal at all and he looked solid
-Johnny played really well. Looked more confident and was trying to make things happen just about every time he got the puck. I've said it before, but he looks like he's figured out how to create offense in this system.
-Buddy Robinson with a great hit at the start. Doesn't get much ice time when he rarely gets in the line up but he seems to be pretty reliable to my eyes.
-Stone made some really good plays 1 on 1 defensively today. As someone who has complained about him being in the organization still, he really has been pretty good for them.
Win on Monday and it's a true race. I don't blame anyone for giving up on them, but even jaded fans gotta admit that this is pretty fun.
The Canadiens are such an awful hockey team. If they somehow do manage to make the playoffs they will get destroyed. I am not even sure they could beat the Oilers in a sven-gzme series.

Quoted for when the Habs take out the Leafs in round 1.
Bieksa is becoming the best thing about HNIC
I look forward every week to seeing what photos he has and why
He's really good on 960 too. Every Wednesday I think. He's always got stories and some interesting opinions on a league he was playing in really recently.
Can we just talk about Gaudreau for a second? Guy doesn’t get much credit but that shot was absolutely insane. And the timing of the shot too, early enough to get the Flames back in the game. I feel like the fact they got the goal early like that gave them some runway and build confidence throughout the game. So they weren’t behind for a really long stretch.
He’s actually been really good the last few games. Very refreshing to see. Would love for him to be a part of a deep Flames run and really get embraced by the city. It’d be so amazing.

I've always liked him, never agreed with the haters...
Ask scorpion..when i suggested he should be called up to provide some heavy D presence instead of Valamaki or Nesterov, he said he was the slowest he'd ever seen. I love Stone. Fight me!

Cassie just has some terrible takes and goes out of her way to not be a Flames homer which pretty much just makes her a fangirl of the other team
It's more than that.
Her takes are against the grain of the game, or rarely in line with what is currently going on.
She's threading irrelevant stories constantly based on things she was probably thinking going into the game, and they rarely seem worth talking about at length.

The #Canadiens 5-2 loss to the Flames tonight drops their 4th place North Division lead to 4 points with 1 game in hand after they held an 8-point lead with 5 in hand on April 5. They've now dropped 6 of 8 meetings with CGY & have the North's worst record since March 11 at 8-11-2.
Super telling about Montreal's fall-off. Win Monday and I like our chances.

Obviously...I am just saying if they are 8 or less at that point those games decide it
Canucks are actually closer to the Habs. They will have just as much to play for. While they might have a tough schedule, they also had the benefit of a long rest as well.
Could be a case where that series gets split and both teams lose out and the Habs make it.

By long rest do you mean when 25 of them had COVID-19?
