Canucks already missing 3 of their 4 starting centers, and with Gaudette out with covid, they have absolutely no one other than Horvat down the middle and missing 5 of their starting bottom 6 players. Not to mention that list includes Pettersson. If both teams play to potential I dont see how the Flames dont win this by a margin. Demko would have to steal it. No excuse losing to a team missing half their forward lineup and their best player.

Well, ain't nothing for it pushing all in with this core. I figured there'd be some mental push back after this seasons struggles but I think they've collectively resigned themselves to the fact that this core is done as it stands.

Tree has given them 3 seasons now to break through. And all they've done is go backwards from the Bill peters season.

If there’s any lesson to take away from this season, it’s that the Flames never let “no excuse to lose to...” statements stop them.

I'm glad that this game is at 8:30, to give everybody enough time to completely get over covid.

8:30 start time makes it easier for me to not watch- I have plenty of time between kids sleeping and game start to get myself into doing something better with my time and then going to sleep at a reasonable hour lol.

I miss having firm belief that this was by default a top 2 team in the division that was merely getting its legs, or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if the flames came out really flat and played down to Vancouver's level tonight. They seem to struggle greatly with games that they should easily be able to take advantage of.

With the exception of 1 full (1988-89) and one part (2018-19) season the Flames have ALWAYS played down to the level of their opposition.

I didn't think I could get more disappointed in the team, but when nobody beat the piss out of Dubois... Maybe if you had a 1 goal lead I could let it go, but they got destroyed. Somebody has to do some goddamn thing.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
More details as they become available, but Calgary/Vancouver is cancelled tonight.

Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
Sounds like tonight's Vancouver/Calgary game tonight has been canceled, in light of more information surfacing with #Canucks tests.

Most likely they were hoping it was contained with Gaudette but more testing has revealed more positives among the players and/or staff.
