My ship is expected in Vancouver April 11...if it did go through the Suez maybe it's already through.

LOL if it did this, it would have to go through both the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal to get to Vancouver!!! You basically just have to geographically know where China and Canada are to understand this.
Also - your ship is coming? Are you getting a yacht delivered or something?

Am I the only person that clicked on this thread thinking it was going to have a laxative theme?

Nope. I definitely thought it was the continuation of CP's "getting older" theme.

Well you have to know where the Suez canal is, too. As it turns out, I don't know where the Suez canal is, so there's that.

Congrats on buying a ship!

I suggest you track it in real time. At the same mail yourself a letter via Canada Post and see which is more trackable and has a more accurate delivery window.

The guy was obviously just looking for a way to flex that he’s some hotshot importing stuff.
What better way than to ask if his stuff is going to Egypt on its way to Vancouver.

She's not so good with the maps. That's just the tip of the iceberg but I feel no need to slag her on here.
I bought her a really nice globe for Christmas after the UK thing. She did not find it amusing whatsoever. If she's done with it maybe I'll get her to mail it to Sliver. I'll see if I can get her to mark out the left and right side of China before she ships it. I hope inter-provincial post doesn't go through the Suez...

It only goes through the Panama Canal if it’s delivering oil.

No. Because it wouldn't make any sense for any type of canal to exist in the middle of the pacific ocean. How can we now be into today without you understanding this yet?

I heard today that it may take a few weeks to free it. I guess it is wedged pretty good, and the single digger they had out there wasn't enough. I dont recall the exact figure but it seemed to be quite a staggering amount of earth they calculated needed to be moved.

To date I've only seen photos of the stuck vessel and only a single small (compared to the vessel) hoe digging it out on the one bank. If this actually has multi-billion dollar repercussions then how come we're not seeing a sh*t ton more on-shore activity as well as subsurface? something isn't adding up here to me, or maybe there is and we're just not seeing reports on it. Granted it's not like there's a journalism office right there.

If it's going to take weeks you would think they'd bring in some heavy cranes and unload it. With the amount of money at risk, cost shouldn't be an issue. Use helicopters, figure it out.
