When is Sutter going to bench Giold?

Falling down on the GWG like a drunk hooker in front of the French Maid on 3rd Ave has to do it right?

Like, even just 4 games ago, this team steamrolled Montreal back to back...

Was Montreal just actually awful? Because that game was night and day to this

I think Sutter coming in is no short term play. He’s a foundational piece for now, tomorrow, and the day after that.

I agree. But I think it’s clear that it’s not just the coach. They need a rebuild. We have some good pieces but I think we need a few painful years to get a few more top 5 picks and try again.

Guess honeymoon’s over, eh. Sutter woke up to the ugly looking stinking bride. Probably hangover setting in with headache onsetting. Welcome to the part Sutter! 10 years too late!

Here’s an idea Rasmus. How bout not playing like **** so they don’t have a game winning puck to collect for their rookie goaltender.

Classless move. By a gutless team.
That was really pathetic of him.

The team as a whole is pathetic though. The culture definitely has some changing to go under.

Glad I’m not the only one who thought that was dumb of Anderson. Unless they are like childhood buds or something and he was pranking him, but even still. That was dumb. I wonder if someone told him on the bench to toss it back or he came to his own senses.

Not sure they can dig out of this hole. Needed that win to have any hope.

Disappointed.

Why do they refuse to go to the net? Crash the net? Just bizarre. This is peewee level stuff.

Like I mentioned after those first initial wins when Sutter arrived that I won't let this core group of players fool me into believing they are a winning group until I see a dozen or so games under Sutter. We are at 9 games in, I am hoping to see more improvement over the next few games, but they are 4-4-1 under Sutter and I am seeing a lot of the same things as before. Losing critical puck battles, perimeter play, and not a sustained effort at the right moments.

Like after tying the game lock it the #### down boys and win those 50:50 puck battles. That was absolutely pathetic by Gaudreau on that puck race to the boards with the Ottawa player who literally brushed him off like he was a piece of paper, and then Ottawa went up 2-1. I get Gaudreau is small but he barely even initiated contact.

The core is rotten.

The most exciting part is your know Sutter isnt going anywhere. Heads will roll. Changes will be made.

Biggest disappointment of this season besides the obvious...Valamaki.

If you are going to lose to someone this season, it’s best to lose to teams that aren’t in the mix.

I know it sounds ridiculous and grasping at straws, but Ottawa is a team
Where it doesn’t hurt as much to lose to.

I know the other side to this argument so no need to reply with it.

I’m not folding up the tent on this season just yet. There’s too many games against the teams they are chasing to give up now.

I can see how a team of grinders can outwork and bear down the barrell and outwork their opponents by controlling the zone. Too many players who want to score off the rush but dont want to work hard and do start, stop skating and hitting.

I rather trade everyone for picks, bring in 23 hard working guys who want to play hard every night. We will probably have the same results. why not?

Well, at least Rasmus gave me something to be more mad about then the game itself.

Play like a** all season and that act like a b**** at the end of the game? Go sit the f*** down, shut the f*** up and listen to Darryl tear you a new a**hole.

The electricity like we were so used to seeing from our big players just isn’t there right now and hasn’t been for sometime. If we didn’t walk away with 4 points from the Sens I was hoping we would turn into sellers and now here we are. I want this team so badly to win and win in the playoffs... I really have enjoyed watching Johnny and Mony and Tkachuk... but I think now is the time to ‘reload’ and the best way to do that is with your marquee talents as painful as that is to admit. Rip the bandaid and try a different cast of young talent versus the old model of hanging onto our talented players for jersey sales like a failing animatronic setup at a washed out amusement park.
