I wonder if Bennett said something to ward on the bench

Let's be honest. Even Steve Yzerman would have checked out on this team/organization.

Can’t really even remember any good scoring chances. We continue to go backwards with the puck all game. Can’t connect on any passes and have 0 chemistry with each other.

Giordano has lost more than step or two.

Was Leivo on the ice again with the goalie pulled?

I think we can all agree the goaltending is just fine, and that the defence - although needing some time to adjust to Gio's decline and some new personnel - is very solid. So the answer needs to be found in adjustments to the forward group and/or the coaching.

The team also looks like it's in a slump - lots of guys forcing plays and a general lack of confidence in the offensive zone.

More entertaining than the 4-set against the Canucks, but pretty lame for a BOA.

Glad Rittich at least played well. Hope it gives him some confidence.
All true. And while I’d like changes to the forward group and the coaching, I’m not sure the changes can be big enough to make a big positive change.

All that's happening is a year being burned off of Johnny and Markstrom contracts.

I'm surprised Ward isn't blaming the fans.

I’m on board with throwing a hand grenade into the core. Doesn’t have to be a full on rebuild but something major needs to happen.
Wasn't the team meeting partly to nurture Tkachuk? Not all games can be riots?

Ward is Pete Rose and he's betting against the Flames.

Fire Treliving and Ward.

Hire Futa and Gallant.

Somehow get Eichel.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Nope, not this time.

You could literally throw someone who's never seen skates in their life behind the bench and they would be an upgrade on Ward

This is team can't make any pass, receive pass and skate with the puck. Never seen team that bad and now they are slowest team. Gio needs play simple game and 3rd pairing.

They were solidly beaten. It wasn't even a game where McDavid or Draisaitl saved the Oilers from being trash. It was just a game where the Oilers roundly outplayed the Flames.

Watching the team fail to push through the neutral zone again, and again, and again in the third made me sad.

It's nothing so complicated.

Our coach is just a dumbass who thinks single game plus minus is a relevant stat.
