Good move in my opinion. Markstrom needs a break and Rittich needs an opportunity to get his game together.

Taking a while to get to 5000
Flames also know that Markstrom isn't there to bail them out as he usually does. Get your head in the game early.

Rittich should have started vs. Vancouver Markstrom this game IMO.

I hope Rittich has a great game, he could use the confidence boost.

Rittich would have needed a shutout to win the last game.

Oh that poor David Rittich. He could see 60 shots on goal tonight.
Might have to look up the record.

My plan is to drink every time they mention the name of a certain oiler during the SportsNet pregame show.
That way I'll be plenty drunk before the puck drops and if it doesn't go well, I'll be too drunk to care.

Flames are going to have to stay out of the penalty box and play tight defensively or this one could get ugly.

I'm getting ready to flip out when it is announced that Ritchie isn't playing.
Yes, freaking out over a 4th line grinder.
But this is the type of thing Ward does, a struggling guy plays well, sit him next game or demote him, don't let him build any confidence.
Ritchie better be in after last game, not to mention it's the Oilers so we better win all the fights!

This is still the Oilers remember.
They are 27th in CF%, 27th in shot splits, 18th in expected goal splits.
11th in PP, and 23rd in PK.
The Flames have to sharpen up but they've won four of six, and have better numbers across the board.

Interesting Mackey is in for Nesterov.
Not sure I like this move since Mackey is not as mobile.

I still believe we have one of the best backups in the league. He’s gotten enough time to get his legs under him now and I’m expecting a good game from BSD

And not respecting our "speed" seeing that Neal is slow as molasses.
