For as much crap as Ward gets on here, he deserves credit for handling Valimaki's struggles last game the way he did. Valimaki obviously wanted to make up for his last game--and he did.
(PS: Nordstrom is starting to win me over.)

some of you guys are ridiculous to be honest...that was a really good effort. Guys were playing hard and blocking shots left and right. The other team is going to get chances, especially the top scoring team in the league.
Was it perfect? no, too many turnovers by the forwards and missing the net but its game 7 of a season without regular training camp or exhibition games.
You don't need to apologize for having a good goalie

Corey Perry is still a very effective player. Noticed him every time he was on the ice. I hope BT claims him if he is ever on waivers again this season. Right shot RW. Much rather have him than Nordstrom, Leivo, Ritchie, or Rinaldo.

We lose big without markstrom. Tkachuk was terrible. Ryan our best forward. Chalk that game up to goaltending or the loss streak is alive and well
Lol sorry they couldn't keep losing for you.
Style points mean #### all in this league.
That's a typical skid-breaking win. They weren't going to buck the streak with a complete massacre. It's baby steps in the right direction. That's how it often goes in this league for any team getting back on track after struggling.
You take it and build on it.
Also I saw Allen make saves he had no business saving either. You don't take those into account in your expert Debbie Downer analysis, however.
Goalies are part of the game/team, otherwise they wouldn't be.

I really hope the Flames aren't proud of that effort despite the win. That was their worst performance of the season. Or at least right up there with Winnipeg.
Clearly the players-only meeting did absolutely f*** all except for Markstrom realizing that he'd have to carry the entire team on his back for the next game.

Outside of Markstrom it was a pretty mediocre effort which, considering the context of coming into this game- should be troubling to the people running it.
Care factor is iffy at best.
Honestly, I have no idea what game you watched.

Bad second but otherwise decent effort and close game. Chucky was invisible, Dube was good, despite our team defence being mediocre I thought our D core was strong.

That second period was garbage. You are the most enormous Flames homer on here and have zero objectivity. Constant turnovers no attention to detail and so much listless floating in the second. Give me a break. It’s the same #### as usual play two periods can’t play 60 minutes.
Ya. Montreal is good. They probably should have won if it wasn’t for our legit all star goalie. But Montreal being good is completely disconnected from watching these guys float around for stretches for no reason and you know what? It’s been years of this, so spare me the bs Captain Flames defender.
After a closed door meeting after game 6 of the season it should be guns a blazing for 60 minutes. Not 40, 30, Montreal is good and have to provide a list of excuses, 60.

Game was meh happy for Markstrom and the two points. Hope to see a better effort than that, otherwise there will be a need for a lot more shutouts this season. Only thing I enjoyed watching was the new white jerseys.

Totally agree. It wasn’t pretty but it was a great effort. Flames played physical, blocked a lot of shots and frustrated the confident Habs. Something to build off of.
