Ya unfortunately there is no secret untapped potential with Bennett. He is a pretty known quantity at this point who has seen four different NHL coaches at this point, and all four have eventually put him in bottom 6 roles.

If Flames can a figure a way out to get Konecny, who appears to be in Vigneault’s dog house, Bennett can be a sweetener. Probably the trade starts with Gaudreau or Monahan though

With the crapshoot that will be this coming draft, I happily add in a 1st and our 3rd (since I imagine the Oilers 3rd pick we get is higher) for a really solid return

I dont like it but not one other player has been bumped around the line up like he has. I fully understand why he wants out.

Maybe he shot himself in the foot but I think its 50/50. Team effed things up and he didn't punch his way through.
