I think they are expecting them to allow them to play. Ontario won't announce anything until the lockdown is lifted.

They'll still be called the Stockton Heat.

Any news if any media are picking up their games to broadcast? Does being in Canada change things at all?

Looks like the Canadian Division gears up this weekend with four of the five teams in action. Stockton gets a bye week, apparently. Likely due to their last minute inclusion.

It's going to be strange for sure.

Ontario has given permission for AHL teams to play again. So expect a full schedule to come out soon.

Just copying my message from the Back Burner forum...

---

Pleased to share that I've been accredited to cover the Heat at the Saddledome this year. I'll be posting recaps of every game over at FlamesNation.ca and I'll be providing live updates on my Twitter feed.

It also looks like I'll have the opportunity to talk to Cail MacLean and some of the players on occasion... so that's exciting. I'll post periodic updates in this thread, as well.

This is great! I am happy to have some eyes and ears on the ground as we rarely hear much on our prospects aside from the statistics.

Will you post links somewhere on Calgarypuck as I rarely visit flamesnation?

Congrats.

This is actually exciting news....

Farm team coverage on CalgaryPuck has been sporadic over the years. Tilley did an awesome job when the team was in Omaha, and for those who remember way back to Aaron In Saint John.

Looking forward to your reports!

When the announced the Heat would play in Calgary this year maybe they meant the Flames under Geoff Ward's coaching system?

Let's not forget CP's own Pierre Monster Maguire covering the Abbotsford Heat. Kept us all informed here on CP, and then got hired by CSEC.

Rob Kerr announced as Heat play by play voice this season
https://stocktonheat.com/news/rob-ke...by-play-voice/

Also looks like the only options to catch heat games are a subscription to AHLTV or streaming audio on Spreaker

Figured they'd use someone in-house.
