Podkolzin is a hell of a player. Hopefully he decides the NHL is just not for him.

I think he's going to be a whipping boy in Vancouver pretty soon. Enough fans are expecting him to come in and be another Pettersson, but that isn't his game. He can absolutely carry a line though. He reminds of an angrier Horvat.

He's big and fast. I have only seen him play this last week, and he's like a huge version of Dillon Dube.

His motor is unreal. I think the expectation is he's in Vancouver by mid-March/Early April

I think if other GMs knew we were going to end up losing what amounts to a full season of time, he goes in the top five. Everyone was made nervous by the two seasons left on his KHL contract, which has really ended up only feeling like one.

I for one welcome this exact thing happening with these two players for years to come.

Oilers fans are saying he is injured. I think it is pretty obvious that he is just no good.

Lose a puck battle. Lose another one. And then another one. All inside of 15 seconds.
Philip Broberg, everyone.

Sweden really lucky to not be down by more. They're on a PP now on a non-existant penalty. I don't know how the up official calls that.

Hahaha.
Back on the powerplay and Broberg turns the puck over again at the blueline for a shorthanded break.
This guy is a big-game player.

That's the issue with a hyper aggressive penalty kill. If you don't get a clear you end up just standing around gassed.

counting the delayed penalty time, Sweden are going to have like 5 minutes of PP.

I haven't watched all of the games but any time I watch the Russians I am always impressed with Kirill Kirsanov #20 on D. 2021 draft eligible.

Broberg has had a rough game. Will probably still be named Sweden’s player of the game because Edmonton!!
