In other words, McDavid having any kinds of long term affects would be the far outlier and not the norm. Any other statement on the issue is fear mongering.

But sure go ahead and accuse me of "lowering standards".

Edit: Now that I think about what you're actually doing.....I brought up legitimate facts, and you tried to silence me under some kind of decency code. And other posters gave you thanks for that? What is happening around here?

Also, why on Earth are you even mentioning Trump?
But when you can't fear monger about the death rate anymore it forces you to pivot to something else.

Making fun of this makes CP looks bad.

Trump deserves all the criticism and mockery for getting covid, McDavid does not.

It really feels like standards for behavior have lowered in this place.
Maybe, but I don't think there would be many (if any) people who post here that actively wished McDavid got covid.
but since he did, I don't think a few jokes are out of line, especially as none seem to wish him any permanent harm.

we don't have to pretend to care about everyone. I'm an Oiler fan and my only reaction to the news was thinking "sucks to be him" and then continued to go about my day.

I care more about the huge number of people who have symptoms, have been tested and are still going out in the community while awaiting their result. that affects me. McDavid doesn't.

Does this guy have the immune-system of a 90 year old or is he just an unhygienic idiot?

Next thing you know McDavid is contract Lupus and Smallpox at the same time.

I'm always floored by how people think ~6 months of experience with a disease is sufficient to determine the long term effects on the population.

Because you’re a trump supporter and the truth hurts?

I think they have seen lung damage occur, and when they see that damage it's pretty easy to say if it's long term or not.

Oh please. If you cared you could have just typed "covid permanent damage" on Google.

As for Trump, shouldn't really need an explanation, and you're making yourself ridiculous by even asking why.

The Dems have a few demons in their own right but Trump by comparison is the devil himself. There's been no dumber, dishonest, gaslighting, hypocritical sack of narcissistic waste in a position of such authority.

Throwing shade at Trump doesn't make the others exempt, but they are not the ones actively ####ing up the most powerful country as we speak and putting lives in literal danger by their own hand for an ego stroke.

Even if you side with trumps "platform", whatever it is (it's always changing), you can't be deluded enough to not detect the false insinuations he constantly makes up on the spot nor see that he exhibits all the characteristics of narcissism, a type of person who typically has almost no value for integrity. If you can't see those things and at least admit to them, im afraid you've waded out into the deep end of delusion. Even beyond Edmonton levels of delusion.

Anyways, McHobo sure vacuums up those germs as good as a real hobo. Weird since you'd think that money would buy a lot of lysol wipes, skip the dishes, one of those disinfecting machines they use for theaters, and even people that can sanitize everything for him, etc.

Dude is not spending that twelve mil salary right for a chronically sick person in a pandemic.

Sixth word in "may", so nothing firm. And I am not a Trump supporter, I just don't fall for every story written by the left leaning news, like the Trudeau lovers from CBC, Global, CTV etc.

Are you ####ing kidding me? Going all political in THIS thread? Some of you are certifiable and need help.

I wish McDavid all the best and I'm sure he will be fine.
