Tkachuk - Monahan - Czarnik/Mangiapane
Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Rieder - Ryan - Czarnik/Mangiapane

This is what I would run with on the forward groupings

Giordano - Andersson
Hanifin - Gustafson
Kylington - Brodie

The D

Talbot still starting

6-3 win

Gaudreau
Andersson
Backlund x 2
Czarnik
Tkachuk

Let’s do this boys!! Business trip mentality!!

Well yeah, going down 2-1 in a best of 5 is devastating especially if the Jets are still short handed.

Time to see if the Flames have developed any mental toughness after the Colorado series. I think they come out hard today. Just hope they don't try to force things.

Its a 1-1 series. Yes the game yesterday was disappointing because of the injuries to the Jets, but normally we would have been okay with a 1-1. Looking at it as 2-2 in a best of 7. We knew it wouldn't be easy as nothing is for this squad. The Jets adjusted, now hopefully the Flames do. Positive thoughts. The boys got this. GFG

The sad thing for me, is if the Flames would have shown the effort level of game one and the physical game plan of game 1, they probably win yesterday going away.

for a few years this team has shown a disturbing habit of starting tentatively, and playing down to their opponents.

They had an opportunity to put a skate blade on Winnipeg's neck and stomp it til the head came off. Instead they let the jets come at them and build all kinds of belief and momentum.

There are games that I watch where I don't feel that the opposition are a threat, the Flames are feeling it moments. I didn't have that last night even when the Flames fought back to tie it. I call this the Flames one foot on a banana peel one foot in a bucket of oil game plan. They were very much the later last night.

At some point does Treliving and not Ward have to have that heart to heart that if you like playing with the people around you its time to play for each other, because lose this series and the amount of changes coming in the off season will be large and off putting.

I like most of the changes. I'd probably tweak it a bit though.

Gaudreau - Backlund - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Bennett - Mangiapane
Dube - Monahan - Czarnik
Lucic - Ryan - Rieder

Giordano - Brodie
Gustafsson - Anderson
Hanifin - Forbort/Stone

I think having Monahan and Tkachuk together creates a slower line. Also having Hanifin with Gustafsson together would be a walk in the park for the Jets.

Have they named the starting goalie yet? I think you go with Talbot today. If he wins today he goes again. If he doesn’t win today, it’s BSD time.

I'm tired of hearing about a third liner being the guy who shows up best in the playoffs. Top players get on it.
Tkachuk needs to be on this list as well. Especially for a guy who has been as vocal as he has, and whom many perceive to be the heir apparent to Giordano when his career is over. It's time for Tkachuk to put up or shut up.

No need, one skate blade should do.

Watching the post game interview with Gio and Lucic, I thought Lucic had some pretty interesting body language when Gio was answering questions. Looked a few times like he didn't feel on-board with Gio's messaging or like he was holding back some things he really wanted to say.

If we can throw wave after wave at them and wear them down, that is where our depth should prevail. A PP goal (or at least some quality chances) wouldn't hurt either.

Teams are playing like its playoff hockey and refs are calling it like its regular season.
Reffing should be consistent, period. Your mindset is the problem, not the refs.

Unfortunately no confidence was inspired by Game 2. Hoping for a win but expecting a loss in Game 3.

If the Flames can figure out how to get the puck out of their own end, they’ll win.
