I can't spell terrific. Every time I start, I can't remember if it's two R's or two F's, and I'll always guess two F's first.

Decimal points.

.030 is technically “three hundredths” but also “thirty thousandths”.
.0003 is... “3 ten-thousandths”.

I get it, but I don’t.

That's similar to the "million millions". Just say a billion. We have a word for that. Use it.

Oh and the direction of a slash gets me too. Especially for websites? Is it '\' or '/' ? Maybe I will never know!
