Chris Kunitz. Good player. Made great because he fit with Sid. Played on Team Canada!! Because of Sid. Not even going to list the players that didn’t play because of that

If course there is a few Oiler Draft picks that we’re pretty over rated too...

Lol @ the true champion comment.
Many true champions played like that for 70 or 80 years.
Just the way the game was played.
Calgary back in the day gave as good as they got, too.

Lidstrom?

Some quotes

Quote:
Scottie Upshall:
Congrats Nicklas Lidstrom "Norris" on a stellar NHL career. Easy to say our lives as forwards in the Joe will be much easier now

Patrick Kane once told me about Lidstrom: "It will be a happy day for me when that guy retires." Happy day, Pat

‪#Blackhawks' Patrick Sharp on Nicklas Lidstrom: "Every team would be drafting him first overall if they were picking an all-time team."‬

Ryan Whitney:

Lidstrom was a guy every player caught themselves watching in awe mid game. Game's not supposed to be that easy. Was an honor playing vs him

I’d agree with
James Neal - benefited from great linemates and lots of PP time
Martin Brodeur - played behind the team that was so good at the trap that they had to change the rules
Glenn Anderson

I've always thought Brodeur was more a product of the Devils boring, defensive team play

I like Brodeur, but I don't think he's the best ever. I'd put Roy and Hasek ahead of him

Lidstrom? Nik Lidstrom?

They're going to rename the Norris after him one day.

He may not be your particular cup of tea, but hes hardly overrated.

Lidstrom probably could have been a #1 defenseman until he was 47.

He's not overrated at all.

Overrated guys are often historically guys who were decent but on a bad (usually Canadian) team. Most often the Leafs. Because the broadcasters had to make it so. So guys like Sundin, Clark, Linden, Doan, Mike Richards, are up there.

Lidstrom not overrated but they’d be skipping the greatest player to ever lace them up if they renamed the Norris after him.

Orr was a forward playing defence, and no he wasn’t the greatest of all time.

That’s your opinion, obviously. Don’t ever underestimate how many people differ from your opinion.

IMO, he is the greatest player of all time and, singularly, drastically changed the game for the better.
