This!!!!! I get Lindholm should have also tied up his man, but in no way should both Dmen be behind the net

Yeah they kind of panicked which is unfortunate as you put your top pairing out there in that situation because you expect them to play sound defense in the closing seconds.

The first failed challenge will result in a two-minute minor for delay of game. All subsequent challenges will be a four-minute double-minor.

Dumb play by Tkachuk for the offensive zone giveaway in OT leading up to the game winner. Tried to dipsy doodle around 3 Preds, they go up the ice and score.

Can't fault Ritter for the game winner, it was bouncing around and Grandlund has always had a wicked release. However goal #2 stunk bad, and in the dying seconds there should never be any way the defending team lets a swarm like that happen.

I'll take the point because it's better the nothing. But up until that tying goal it was the Flames' game to win.

Didn’t tie up any sticks, knock the guy down or block the pass out.

The past two games have been a great showing from the team in showing up for big games. But now they played the 2nd best team in the league next, and this is after a heartbreaking loss where they pulled off the victory with less than a minute left, and then fumble it with .1 seconds left.

How they response will be very interesting. Those are the kind of losses that can be tough to get over for a while. Odds are really stacked against them Saturday.

Still kind of sitting in stunned silence. Tough loss. But on the plus side a pretty good result for operation Oilers miss the playoffs...

2-0-1 so far in this tough road trip. Rough way to lose, but comments like this are silly. They are playing well on this trip you just take the point and move on. The dramatic statements about this loss trying to make it bigger than it is are lame.

Flames with exactly zero powerplays tonight which is honestly really silly

Flames were the better team all night until they forgot how to play defence and then the coach forgot who his hot hands were in OT

There are a ton of positives to come out of this game but there are some serious, serious pimples to pop before heading to Florida... the goaltending, first of all, needs to be much better than what we saw on the last three Preds goals. Three awful goals by Rittich.

Unbelievable choke by Rittich, and Ward not having Backlund on it OT is unforgivable.

Do you still get a penalty for losing a challenge in the final minute? Because that's the only reason I can think of why Ward wouldn't challenge.

Backlund pushes whoever it was in, if there was any.

You could measure the amount of time it took Rittich to get back into position with a sundial.

I'm honestly not too broken up about this one. That was a hell of a game by both teams. Flames deserved a much better fate though and should have won this game by multiple goals with all the grade A chances they had.

Saros was a brick wall tonight and was the difference in the game.

The Backlund line was outstanding.

Rittich was... not good.

The Flames will have to claw into the playoffs one game at a time. Honestly, I dont mind that. Last year they sat at the buffet for a month, this year they will come in hungry.
