IMO, drafting aside, Treliving's tenure since July 2, 2018 is a solid F. And that's taking into account the Lucic trade, which I like.

I have been one of Treliving's biggest supporters from Day 1, but these last 2 years have been super frustrating as a fan.
Between deals falling apart, coming in 2nd to acquiring stars, trading assets away from crap, and making horrible UFA signings that everyone could see coming away, I've lost a lot of support for him recently.

I wasn't a fan of making many moves today, but the mere fact he was willing to add to the D but not the forward ranks is pretty infuriating. This team has nowhere near the horses to compete offensively with the top playoff teams, so why make the trades on D?
Forbort and Gustafsson are only going to be difference in the Flames making a deep playoff run if Johnny and Monahan are playing like they actually want it. I haven't seen any signs of that in a long time.

the flames have one of the worst remaining schedules, starting right away this week.

Well I for one was hoping to either trade assets that are expiring, Brodie, Hamonic Talbot for picks or signed assets. Huge miss on asset management watching those 3 leave after the season for nothing

What does the defence look like when everyone is healthy?
Giordano Brodie
Gustafsson Andersson
Hanifin Hamonic ?
Or is Gustafsson with Hamonic and Hanifin with Andersson?
Great depth on D. Forbort, Stone and Kylington are all NHL level dmen as our 7, 8, 9. Davidson, Yelesin, Valiev waiting on the farm and Valimaki almost back.
I doubt valimaki suits up for us at all this season now. Good for Seattle expansion requirements
