Yep, a 2 for 1 job. Panthers beating the Oilers would've kept pace with the Leafs and drag the Oilers. It sucks that the opposite happened.

Final scores

The good, the bad, and the ugly? It was basically all ugly.

The Predators had a 3-1 lead and then Blues came back to tie it at 3-3. Granlund scored the GWG on the PP in the 3rd period. It is a weekend home/away series with the teams playing in Nashville on Sunday.

The Lightning held on for the 5-3 win. The Flyers made it close, but, Tampa Bay wins its 11th straight home game. Vasilevskiy is on a stunning unbeaten streak at 19-0-2. The Bolts are just a point back of the Bruins for 1st place in the eastern conf.

The Bruins get their revenge on the Red Wings beating them 4-1.

The Knights win 1-0 and it would have been worse for the Islanders had it not been for Varlamov who stopped 42 shots. Fleury gets the SHUTOUT by only making 19 saves. Reily Smith with the only goal.

Solid goaltending by Raanta as the Coyotes defeat the Capitals 3-1. Kessel scored the winner on the PP early in the 3rd period.

Jones was a stud in net for the Sharkies by making 39 saves for the shutout. The 3rd period magic happened for the Sharks as it was 0-0 after 2 periods. Gambrell scored early in the 3rd and then an empty net goal. I know it's a long shot, but, the Sharks are 10 points back of the 7th and 8th place Coyotes and Flames.
