I like this group but a shake up is needed.

Flames locker room is like a country club. I think these guys are generally happy with life. Make a good living, have a hot wife/gf. Who really cares if they miss the playoffs or go out early?

There is no winning culture.

Should have known the Flames were in trouble when Monahan said they had to treat this like a must win game.

Who knows?

The Blues were in 31 st place at the same time last season.

Tough to know where the Flames are going.

Ok, generalizing.
The Flames have been tied or leading in the third a lot this year, and again, under Ward, look ok while in the third. Possibly too comfortable though. They don't have that urgency of putting in the extra effort to take the game over, certainly if they got the 3-2 lead like they did tonight. Last year's team would've gotten a 4th and won 5-2 with an EN.

Outside of the Lucic shift and goal of Kylington,Flames had zero positivity in the third, and zero control. You didn't see they under Peters last year, they finished gsmes they were right or in the balance. And to be honest, Price should have had Kylingtons shot.

Toss in a Rittich who still gets flustered (reply saw him yelling at the bench after the tying goal) and then his lack of common sense in OT, and it's now likely a strategy. A whiff on the OT winner.

Be interesting to chat with some Blues fans about that. How did they really feel about their team a year ago?

I feel like that example is going to be used by every struggling team from now until the end of time...

The 18'-19' Blues were the exception, not the rule...

To be fair the Flames aren’t in last

And this wasn’t a brutal loss by any means

Rittich was amazing yet brutal tonight.

Cute little new coach bump, but this team is what it is, average.

They were in 31st place.

Next to zero hope, I would wager.

Took Blues a good while before they 100% bought in.

Best players have to be a lot better.

None of the last 3 have been brutal losses. But each game was there for the taking and each ended up in a loss that just sort of creeped up on them out of nowhere. That's not a good sign either.

18 games now our 2c not scoring a goal.

Looking forward to Cassie on Sunday once again assuring us all that he (and Jankowski) are poised to break out.

Like browna said, what a treat it would have been to see the Flames step on the gas and play urgent suffocating hockey after taking the lead on a goal that Price should have had. One more goal and it would have been game over. Instead for the remainder of the third they looked tentative, scared and disoriented.

These sentences are like the game.

Cheers to the first, jeers to the second and third

Flames record Vs. the East is great despite the 1-2-1 home stand

And Nazem Kadri on pace for 28 goals in Colorado

Also Zucker on pace for 29 in Minny

I wonder if the Flames would be any better right now with thise two in the line up instead of Frolik and Jankowski who have 4 and 0 goals respectively...

The GM knew this team needed better players at least.

Hopefully next time he is able to execute his planned moves.

I keep saying we are weak down the middle but no one seems to care.

do you want a pat on the back or something? Teams aren't just giving away top end centers
