This period is exactly why we need that 2nd line upgrade. A better player, and there’s a good chance it’s 2-0, but at the minimum 1-0.

Tkachuk dumping it in for Backlund to get is laughable. Predictaby, Backlund mailed the "chase", not even making contact with the Ducks player.
Good on the Lucic Ryan and Frolik line to create that chance. Lucic taking a dig at the puck is nice and greasy and he will fight by the end of the night.

Yup. I like Frolik on that third line, would be great if he could slot there more often, but we need someone to step up and actually be a 2nd liner.
I did like the looks Mangiapane had there

He did, but directed it more into Gibson's body so it hit his blocker. If he put it over the pad it would've gone in.
