I think that it's time to do some morning stretching exercises, so you can reach down to the back of your knee and see what might be hurt.

Is Helm the dirt bag from the game in Detroit that was pounding Hamonic between the benches?
Or was that another Detroit dirt bag

I wasn't aware of this disease or that Lucic had it.

In the popliteal fossa there's an exposed artery and vein, and few nerves that are unprotected there as well. Injury to those wouldn't cause somebody to not be able to weight bear beyond the nerve pain (like a 'funny bone'). Would be rare to injury the artery or vein in that mechanism, but then again humans don't get direct hits to that area too often. Those big bones can also chip where they flare out at the knee joint, but I would also be surprised if there was any bony injury.

theres a hamstring tendon and couple of different nerves. You can do some damage with out breaking bones.

Lucic definintely isn't slow, he just looks like it sometimes because he isn't explosive, his first few strides aren't that great but he can definitely motor

Until we hear anything more, I'm holding out hope that it's like a "funny bone" type injury where it hurts really bad initially, but goes away pretty quickly. With the team up 5-1, there was no point in trying to rush him back.
I hope.

Don’t be too sure, a blow to the fibula , which is much smaller, at an angle, and by an object that concentrates the impact in a small area, is exactly the recipe for a fracture. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Ducks are looking tricky. And it's a back to back. And it's Anaslime. Let's hope the momentum rolls on.

Yup. Saw it live and rewound to see why Lindy got dumped. Cheap by Helm to start the whole thing.

Clearly Detroit are still the dirt merchants of the NHL. A sloughfoot on Mangiapane, and a ridiculous slash to the back of the knee of Lindholm (I don't care if he DID start it). Take a number for next game boys.
|
He didn’t.

Unpenalized slew foot by one of the Wings -- or as Sportsnet said in the highlights, he "tripped over the skate" of the Detroit player.

Mangi got slewfooted and went down hard into the boards head first. Looked woozy but finished his shift. It looked to me like the concussion spotter yanked him.
