Stewart vs. Setoguchi

Who was worse?

It was extremely forgettable. Lasted only like 3 games if I recall. It was a time when we needed points too I think. He was slow as molasses.

You obviously missed his rink entrance.

The only thing I really remember from Stewart's time with the Flames is the way he would run from the dressing room door all the way to the ice before warmups.

How about if Bennett scores and it gets waved off? $10? 😃

At least we’re facing former Flame great Brian Elliott in net tonight.

Beating up Gritty with a wine bottle followed by a duck/platypus is the only way to do it. Excellent Job, puppet guy, to you and your consultant.

I'm gonna try and sit down and watch this one. I've become so irritated by my pro sports teams that i've actually skipped a few games this year in football (Chargers fan) and hockey. I've decided not to let these teams have an affect on my general mood anymore.

With this incarnation of the Flames I can't stop thinking about the team that it should be instead of accepting the team that it is right now. Treliving took a couple big swings and had two deals fall through but I'd like this team way more with Frolik, Janko and Brodie out and Kadri and Zucker in.

Yeah, same here. Almost get Mark Stone, then almost get Kadri and Zucker... all of them seem like they'd fit in perfectly. I think the Flames will turn it on and become a top 3 team in the west but when they lose I always come back to what they could have been and it eats away at my soul.

No. The Flames did not see Brian Elliot at all last year. In 2017–18 after his season in Calgary he posted a 1–0–1 record v. the Flames in which he allowed 7 goals, and a 0.908 SP. His best result was a 5–2 win in Calgary on 4 December, 2017. The Flames faced Stolarz in Calgary and Carter Hart in Philadelphia last year.

Yup - Czarnik and Bennett in general had good chemistry as a pair.

They played 121 minutes together last year and put up:

CF% - 62.4%
HDCF% - 56.8%
GF% - 53.8% (7 GF, 6 GA)
xGF% - 62.9%

It was in 58% offensive zone time so slightly sheltered, but they showed some chemistry in their limited time as a pair.

Need a strong home game. I know the team wants to finish strong and and not pitter out in the playoffs but I hope we see more from the team in general tonight.

We need our bottom six to get into the fight here.

As far as I am concerned the D corps just fine, goaltending is fine, top line is fine. Now to just get the special teams rolling and some of the bottom forwards to get their ducks in a row.
