Lucic and Bennett seem to feed of one another a bit. I really like the look of that. It's like they were trying to outdo each other with hits and hounding the puck on that great shift.

I have a suspicion that Lucic plays better when he's on a good team.
He was always good on the Bruins, and they were always good when he was there.
He was good on the Kings, and they had 102 points when he was there.
He was good in his first year with the Oilers, and they had 103 points that year. (I know, heresy, but it's true.)
But then the Oilers have two really bad seasons, and Lucic... what does he have to play for, really?
I think anyone would have trouble playing with fire on those teams, and when your game is so tied to how much intensity and passion you bring, playing on teams with nothing to play for would really hurt that.
Now, he's on a really good team again. I think we're seeing that engagement back.
