Oilers can't afford to have Neal coasting against the Flames. Neal let the Flames down all season, pretty sure the Flames would have made him pay.

They're currently showings the Wings/Leafs preseason game on Sportsnet west, with Sportsnet central sans any real Flames coverage after. If they're going to have rights to the Flames they need to show at least one preseason game?
Not only blaming them, the Flames have been notoriously backwards when it comes to broadcasting online and the exhibition seasons.

So strange.

If that happened in Calgary, the story would be "Tensions in room building between new coach and established superstar."

Dream on. The SN deal is in effect until 2026–27.
*EDIT* You mean the regional deal? Even then, I am sceptical that the Flames would opt to sign on with TSN, and I highly doubt such an option would even be available.

Is anyone else's audio really out of sync with the video on the Flames website?

That's the national deal. The team deal I believe ends this season.

Yeah, I noticed that after posting. Even then, I think the chances of the Flames signing a regional deal with TSN are essentially nil.

Yep. The Flames and Sportsnet are too intertwined, imo. Almost no chance you see TSN bid, especially with our lower regional numbers.

given the poor coverage that Sportsnet has given the Flames and the fact that TSN has 5 billion dollars they didnt spend on the national contract - i believe there is a very good chance that TSN will go hard after this contract

Why? TSN already has regional rights for Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Why wouldn’t they want to bid for Calgary?

Do you think the Flames get worse regional numbers than the Jets or Sens?
