With Flames and Jets playing together today and on Tuesday, I won't be surprised if there's a press conference tomorrow in Regina (to tackle Heritage Classic) sandwiched in between both games. Will there be?

I think he looks strong on the forecheck and on the cycle, though... and he let off a decent shot on that last shift. I think he just needs to get one goal and they'll start to come. I wonder how mental something like that could be... going over a full year without one.

By Game Score he's been one of Calgary's most positive players in the preseason so far

Just tuning in. Classic Talbot letting in shot #1 but was it weak?

In the who makes the cut thread I voted that all the PTOs should get a deal, as they can be sent to the AHL and its decent depth to have. That being said none of them should be on the opening night roster. I'm sure at least one will be, but none have earned it.

Kinda sloppy lack of rebound control

Shot from his left side, off the right pad, kicked out 2 feet in to the slot

It was a point shot that lead to a rebound goal thanks to some not so great rebound control mixed with horrible defensive coverage from Brodie/MacDonald/Quine.

I'm in favour of signing him simply because he's free depth at league minimum most likely.

But I think he slots in behind Quine currently.

I think that's a reasonable statement to make. Quine has also been very effective in the pre-season with good Game Score results... I'm just not sold on him as an NHLer when it gets down to the regular season grind. His defensive results are spotty at best

Rieder has a slightly more respectable track record but I'm more than down to have both around

Talbot is looking like a goalie who is seeing the puck right now.

I think this might be Smith-Pelly's last game in his PTO, not much ice or i just havent noticed him at all.

Kylington looking strong. Forward surprised him coming back to the blue line and Kylington blew a tire trying to recover the pass which was going to where the FW should have been.

DSP is out there, and has looked ok but he just doesn't fit the Peters system to me.

Dont think Grenier is all that much. Skates like he is kayaking. His stick is his oar. His stick should be on the ice in the offensive zone, not paddling at his chest.

I want DSP to make it sort of... I just don't think he will. I'd rather have Czarnik/Quine as the 13th forward right now

Good period for Talbot. The goal against was a breakdown on multiple fronts (lost faceoff, blown defensive coverage, poor rebound control), but after that he has been rock solid. That’s great to see.

Kylington is a good bit above both Stone and MacDonald. Good player.

If i had to pick a PTO, itd be Reider. He seems like a good fit with his skating and defense. Im sure he will score more on this team.
