Despise the Red Sox and Patriots, but dammit Boston, those Bruins are one heck of a dream killing machine. Well done.

I think Babcock is done in Toronto and just about everyone in the know knows it.

Babcock won't explain anything.
He doesn't offer explanations for his greatness.

Babcock probably really is on the hot seat now, imo. His contract was heavily front loaded and mostly paid, and he's taken multiple shotsupstairs insinuating that they haven't done their jobs.
He speaks like he's god's gift to hockey coaching and was led to feel this way by Canadian media. I suspect he learns where he sits in the Leafs organization this summer.

Dammit Bergeron, why'd you have to do that.

He doesn't need to. The explanation is obvious: Nicklas Lidstrom.

Tavares must be glad right now he left the Islanders.
Dodged a huge bullet there.

Lol Tavares and Nylander etc.
Not sure there’s anyone on the Leafs I would want on the Flames.
Edit: of players that might be had in a trade etc.

Muzzin and Reilly are the only dmen worth keeping around. One or two of Kapanen or Nylander who are more one way skill than anything. If the Leafs can get their d straight they’ll be amazing. Their goaltending covers up for that deficiency. Tall order though.

It's a reasonable question about whether they keep Kapanen, actually. I think Dubas is smart enough not to put too much weight on his performance this series, and just use it to keep his price down. I don't think he'll be able to fight the public momentum against Nylander, though... that's going to be the big change. Johnsson isn't going anywhere.
Gardiner also walks pretty much for sure, I think. Kadri may also be gone.
