Bahaha. Draisaitl gives the puck away and McMinus had a chance to get off the ice before the goal by Vegas but decides to float back to rack up ice time stats and is now -2 for the night.

The OTL doesn't, mathematically, eliminate the Blackhawks, but, barring some incredibly unforeseen cosmic shenanigans, the 'Hawks are done, after the OTL tonight.
Now, however, I want to vent about the dirtbaggery by Byflugien, with 12 seconds to go. Cagguila, is a pest, certainly, but, in fronting Buff after a keep in, he took a glove to the face, ok, fine, that would be a ticky tack roughing call. But, then as Drake turned to chase the puck, he got horse collared from behind, by #52, then, fresh off of a missed week for a concussion, Caggiula gets pulled back and eats a few blows from Buff.
Exactly, how does Buff not get an extra 2 there? The knuckleheads on TSN3 lauded Buff for that scrap, citing frustration over blowing a late lead, but, IMO, it was an inexcusable breakdown of discipline, and should have been punished. Moreover, if the NHL was, truly, concerned about concussion risks, the play, absolutely, needs a review by the player safety gurus. A guy, fresh off a concussion, gets an attempted beatdown, that, on that play, seemed to be a disproportionate response by Buff.
