Weak shots from the outside and not enough net front presence.

Yeah, but the asking price was the #6 pick. in the 2016 entry draft +. That's a cost the Flames would have regretted.

Weird game.
Felt like one that could have tipped the other way with some better luck in the 1st and some competent reffing.
That being said, there are some glaring issues lately. A lot of players and lines as a whole not doing enough.
Frolik has been a blackhole on that line, yet Tkachuk and Backs were also brutal. Top line hasn't been able to find the net even strength in a while.
Really need to win the division if we're going to have a chance in the playoffs. Suddenly only 3 pts up on SJ and we have 1 more game in SJ. It could easily be a one win difference for the infinitely better matchup.

Just to remind people, we beat the Leafs 3-1 in their own barn on October 29. We did this to them already.

No. It was ducks offering a second first rounder they had, the flames tried to package later picks. Burke told the story on bob mcowans show here in Toronto

Any chance Frolik sits for Neal or even Dube? Is Dube eligible?

No, they won't. Whether the Flames win or lose in Vegas is not the determining factor of who they are, nor how they will perform in the playoffs. It's an important game, for sure. But at the end of the day it is just one game in an 82-game season.
I expect a big performance on Wednesday.

As a season ticket holder I am not going to go to 41 regular season games a year. Its just way too many times to head down to the dome.
If someone wants to give me extra to buy a Monday night game in the middle of winter I'm not going to think too long and hard about it.
All original 6 teams have fans everywhere, don't make this about season ticket holders selling tickets.
You try going to even 20 games and then we can talk - money aside its just too much.

What would I do if I'm Peters?
Sit Monahan and Gaudreau vs Arizona
Sit Brodie and Kylington.
Put Fantenberg and Prout/Valimaki in.
Just me, but I think there are guys that need to see the game from another angle and have a chance to reset and doing so now may pay dividends down the stretch.

Blame the goalies all you want for the past two games - I bet you that if Dubnyk or Andersen in net, the results will likely be the same for these two games. That was pathetic effort and shots held to the perimeters. Guys are playing just too frickin small and trying to be too fancy. They play like this in the playoffs, they're gonna exit in 5 games in the first round if they're lucky. That was a piss-pour effort in the defensive zone in the first period.

You know it's likely a good night when Hyman scores a pair and Ennis gets the hat trick.

Yes. Against the team they have dominated most this season. I don't think it'll hurt their bid for the division whatsoever.
