They're going to strap the pads on Lucic.
I mean watching this Oilers game, about halfway through the period it like Tampa said F this and started moving their feet and made Edmonton look slow.
Oh Christ and Principe interviewing Stamkos and digging for McDavid compliments. TAKE A DRINK PEOPLE

I don't even think it would require "big money." Could the Oilers afford to match anything more than a $5.0 m deal? If Koskinen has a good season he could be looking at offers in that range.

I have the sound turned off and wondered how much fawning Principe was doing over McDavid in this Stamkos interview.

Oh, look. There goes McDonut skating from one end of the ice to the other. That's what the Oilers broadcast crew calls "the play of the game."

"Point is fast but nowhere near as fast as McDavid" (paraphrase)
seconds later McDavid can't catch point and the lightning score

Completely outclassed. The Oilers look like an AHL team in this game.

Kind of the perfect game to truly witness the embarrassment of riches in Tampa Bay. Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman and Vasi are all franchise players with a fast and skilled supporting cast in Johnson, Palat, Gourde. You think it must end there but NOPE, Point and Sergachev will soon join the ranks of that starting four if they haven't already.
Im convinced Yzerman left in attempts to avoid the inconceivable headache that will be trying to fit this team under the cap.

Meanwhile, the Canucks have played a hell of a game against that team from Winnipeg that no one has heard of. If they win this game they can leapfrog the Oilers for the #2 wildcard.

I predict the Oilers will get a 5 on 3 with out 2 minutes left.
On a related note, man do they ever look awful when they're trailing and they're forced to abandon the trap. Such a garbage team.
