Both goalies were pretty good though I think Koskinen had to make more great saves.

Boring game overall but whatever

Don't start spiraling and get on to the next one

I too am ready to move Bennett down to the 3rd again. Try Neal up there.

Lindy and Mono certainly looked off as well. Johnny couldn’t pull them up.
Very flat.

Hate to say it, but Edmonton learned defence. They are still inept offensively McDavid aside, but that is quite the improvement by them in their defensive play. Hitchcock even made Lucic and Kassian capable of actually being contributing members of that team with their strong defensive play.

Flames didn't look good tonight. How many pucks were jumping over sticks tonight? Some of the calls (and lack of calls) I didn't agree with, but such is reffing in the NHL.

Oh well, you can't win every game. Very little emotion in this game, which was surprising. Just a flat game by the Flames, and just weren't able to get going all game.

3rd game in 4 nights; back to back from home to road; missing Giordano, Backlund, Frolik, Valimaki, etc.; Oilers got one lucky break and played prevent defense the rest of the game.

My response?

Not sure what is up with the Bennett hate. He was producing chances. If Tkachuk wasn't, maybe that's on Tkachuk and not because of something Bennett was doing or not doing.

Not your imagination.

I like Bennett but he is so not a top 6 player

We took a lot of stupid penalties. Three in the third

Neal, Bennett, Prout, Lindholm all took stupid penalties

I think we need some forward depth. Defence is holding up even with some of our best guys out, but man, seeing Quine and Ryan with Tkachuk just shows how thin our forward group is.

Hoping Backlund comes back soon, and hoping that Frolik can come back too. Bennett has really worn out his opportunity on the 2nd line.

Bennett should never play top six again. He is a 3rd liner
Not sure what the lovefest with him is

Seriously? Cassie wasn't even doing commentating this game, and you still have to drag her in? WOW

You'd take that back if you watched the oilers 2 games vs the stars

That's the best the Oil could do against the clearly depleted Flames.

My god that team is awful. Going to be pretty entertaining when their new coach bump expires and their fans have to watch them trap and lose.

Good point. Although the team overall looked tired, out of it and played an underwhelming game, Rittich was on-point and looking good in net. No fault there.

However, Bob Cole(present day) and Cassie would be brutal, not the past Cole as he is a legend. Even now his voice makes up for his mistakes.

Not that angry about the loss. Flames were off and tired all night. Sloppy play for the most part. They didn't deserve the win.
