Um... Okay, but what's up with the passive aggressive thing?

....and despite McGeezus having all the talent in the world it will all be wasted by the worst management in the league.
If the Coiler's ever get back to the play-offs the Ducks already demonstrated how to #### McGeezus down. He's a talent for sure but will never reach the levels of success that Crosby has.
Oh...and other than McGeezus, I'd take Backland over another other player on that dumpsterfire team of yours.

On Saturday, I would like to see:
Gaudreau-Jankowski-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Monahan-Neal
Bennett-Ryan-Mangiapane
Hathaway-Czarnik-Rychel

Yeah so I think at a minimum even if everything goes perfectly the earliest the time lines would allow would be at least Monday/Tuesday which is why he is for sure missing the next 2 games but the rest is up in the air.

I wonder if the Flames would consider bringing Dube back up already, as I'd be interested in seeing Mangiapane-Dube-Neal

Wasnt Backlunds line staying pretty close to some of the best defensive lines in the league in recent years including bergerons? He plays the position with the highest defensive responsibility of those 3 forwards so I would think its safe to say he is up there. Not saying he is untouchable but he is very good even compared to some of the current best for defensive centers.

First of all, I am not an Oilers fan but do acknowledge that they have one of (if not the best) player in the world.
Also, I am not sure how are basing your success but McDavid is going to get just as many individual trophies as Crosby. The Oilers management is a dumpster fire, that being said, it doesn't mean McDavid will spend his entire career with the Oilers. He is 21 years old and has a long career ahead of him.
If contracts are not an issue, I would take Drasaitl and probably Hopkins over Backlund.

If you are referring to my posts, I never said Backlund is not good defensively.
In my opinion, to be one of the best, you need to prove it in the playoffs. The Getzlaf line has crushed the Flames for two straight series, which is why I think he is overrated.

As mentioned, I hope they don't touch the top line
As with any injury, the silver lining is opportunities for other players. I think Jankowski, Neal, Czarnik and Bennett should all be excited to try and put their stamp on this season as early as this weekend. We're forced to shuffle things around here, so there'll be some looks that might stick in Backs' absence.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Jankowski - Neal
How would that 2nd line look like against McDavid?

Understatement, Neal is one of the slowest skaters on the Flames. If he gets much time paired against McDavid he'll either be in the box all night for hooking/holding or passed out from trying to keep up

Or, maybe his linemates, and the defensemen, will have the responsibility for McDavid.

Tkachuk-Jankowski-Bennett will be the the match from the Flames perspective with Ryan stepping in if Jankowski doesn't fare well. That's my guess anyway.

You argue like a child. Stats show that Backlund does quite well against McDavid. It’s just evidence, provide some counter evidence if you have some. And yeah, the best 1 on 1 offensive player maybe of all time might make good players look bad occasionally.

There's always going to be a hole on the ice wherever Neal is, and that's what the McDavids will target

Oilers will probably put McDavid out against the 1st and 4th lines. The 2nd line probably doesn't matter as much because the game is being played in Edmonton.
Having said that, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ensure that there is someone with decent speed on each line. Janko has average speed, Tkachuk below average and Neal little to none, so that line might be a bit vulnerable.

Thank you! Now I know how I argue , you are the best!
Providing a meaningless stat about shots means nothing. Shooting at a goalies chest 20 times means less than 1 breakaway.
