Oilers fans in the ATL sounds very reasonable. I guess having to suffer through Hitchcock-hockey has kind of a sobering effect. Also, they are not wrong. Going 4-1-1 and still not gaining any real ground tells you how hard it is to get back after being down in the standings.

The Flames got off to a great start but then acted like they'd scored on their chances and were winning 3-0 after 10 minutes. Then they scored the two PP goals and did the same thing. They are capable of a much better game. But even with that, without Crawford this was a different game.

Getting the win even when poor defensively gives incentive to do better next game.

Happy to get the win for the dads.

Smith and Ryan both had good games tonight. Hopefully the start of a trend. Mangipane looked awesome out there. I think he's ready to stay up permanently. Nice option to have.

Talked about owing the team a win. Talked about the game being a bit sloppy but they can take that to the next game and improve on it.

I really liked Smith this game too, but the funny part I thought was that a few key saves came from him being in the belly-flop position. Turns out it's a great thing lying flat on the belly and going for desperation kick saves!

Smith was great. I loved the Mangiapane, Ryan, Neal line, but really I thought the first three lines were all pretty great.

I love Kylington and all his tools and I'm for letting him develop but right now I think Andersson probably misses Valimaki on his left side.

Thats the kind of save that turns a guys season around. much like that super weak 5 hole goals in the Avs game could ruin a mans season. Glad we got the turn around save tonight. Great to see.
