I've defended Smith but tonight was unacceptable. Hes just too slow.

Cant play him anymore. Rittich next 3 games for sure and see what happens.

Smith has lost his game. We can get a college goalie tonight and won the game easily. Just curious, why is his five hole so weak ?

No, he HAS to see it now. Smith is done. You can see the whole team play tentatively because they know a muffin is coming up at some point. It’s not a coincidence the whole squad plays better when Rittich is in net.

Talbot, Jones, Raanta. Hindsight's 20/20.
If I never hear Smith's name again, it'd be too soon.

I went back and looked at the San Jose game, that goal that Kane scored was very soft. Across the net and low, when do you see a goal like that? Both these losses are on Smith and the Anaheim one as well.

My least favourite loss of the year. Way worse than the blowout. It will be said 500 times tonight. Smith is done. Needs to go. Will happily take Parsons, Reimer, Howard, anyone. If we could even just have a top 20 netminder we’d have a shot. I’m thinking of starting aetter writing campaign. JP

Reminds me when this team went more than half the season using wideman in the top 4. We love our scrubs, we loving putting them in positions to succeed too.

Guys Smith is what he is at this point. I don't blame him at all. It's Peters that keeps starting him. These losses are squarely on Peters. I will never understand why Rittich hasn't been getting more starts.

Heat should not be on Smith at this point... has been crystal clear to see he's a destructive goalie that's going to cost you games on a consistent basis all season long, and should have been done way before today's game. It's Peters that I am frustrated with now, handing him the majority of the workload is just pathetic at this point.

Guys played great tonight, dominated most of the game.

Well I've had enough. Mike Smith can #### off. Bill Peter's can #### off for constantly going to Smith. Also for constantly putting Derek Ryan out. After going through his time in Carolina, maybe the goaltending wasn't exactly the problem. Maybe Peter's just kept putting a ####ty goalie in.

Loss pisses me off but I fully expect Rittich to start next game and get some opportunity if he plays well. The flames dominated and deserved to win. Thats the positive I take from it. Smith has been atrocious but the team has been good for the most part.

Conservatively that's three games I feel Smith has cost us so far this year.

13-5-1 would be looking pretty good right now.

Flames need to pot more goals and get some more finish, no matter Smiths 1 terrible goal and 1 average goal against. Yes a couple posts but for all the possession the Flames had, they aren’t getting dirty enough to get the ugly goals.

Price and saves were not special. Highlight pack doesn’t have him making 10 bell saves and pucks finding him.
