Final tally is 55 here in Hillhurst. A bit less than previous years, but perhaps it's the mid week date. No excuses from the weather, it was a great night.

i think we maybe had 30 total.
the last batch came around 7:45 - it was 5 girls in their early teens. i told them to hold on a minute and went and grabbed a ton of the loot my kids got (they are 5 and 3 and the last thing they need (and by they i mean 'mom and i') is a constant sugar high). those 5 girls hit a gold mine! ha! ha! i also unloaded on them all the rest of our stuff to get rid of it! ha!

I'm more east. I guess I'm also a bit more than 3 blocks from the lake. I'm just off of Forestry. I grew up westside though where we used to get 150 kids per year in the 80s. When my parents moved they got about a dozen. Where I live now I wouldn't be surprised if they got 150 kids per year in the 80s too.

Most of the neighbourhood is actually pretty good for that and saw lots of kids on the main street. I live on a cul de sac that used to have lots of families with kids, but some of them moved away and the people that replaced them seem to pretty much keep to themselves. Most kids these days are smart enough to know the time/candy ratio works out better if they skip the cul de sac with most of the lights off.

65 in McKenzie. Less then last year. Some cool costumes too. Best one was Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. Nice to see the parents all dressed up too.

I went to see the 1925 silent Lon Cheney version of The Phantom of the Opera at the Knox church last night. A live organist played the sound track. It was cool. Someone dressed up as Jesus. No kids.

Bummer I missed that. Did they have the organist’s screen synced to the large screen properly? I went to a screening of Nosferatu there, tragically the organist was about 3 seconds ahead of everyone else and it totally killed the awesomeness.

Pretty much done on the street by 8:15 and our final count was 98 here in Sunnyside, up 3 from last year.

About 40 in Deer Ridge...
Mostly trucked in from out of community I think.

21 in Renfrew. Was expecting a bit more, so I have a ludicrous amount of leftover candy.

Oh yes. This guy was bang on. You get a lot of wiggle room with a drama like Phantom though. The chandelier was swinging and flickering for about 3 minutes before it crashed. But he was really flawless.
There was a woman dressed up as a Flames goalie and she warmed the crowd up with the Hockey Night in Canada theme. That was kind of a cool side note. Also, I think some goths were there just because they wanted to spend Halloween in a church.

Not too sure on the final tally, but it was busy and I went through all my candy by 8:15.

I think we had around 80 in my area of Coventry Hills. This was our first year there so I'm not sure if that's a usual amount.
I had a bunch of kids that kept saying "Merry Christmas" instead of "Trick or Treat". Kids are weird.

where I live I had 73 this year, up from 47 last year.
all polite and all had costumes. (even the teenagers)
a good number. enough to enjoy giving out candy but not too much that it would seem like work or make me broke.
in addition to candy, we also gave out play-doh. the kids were very happy about that.

22 for us in Tuscany. Neighbor across the street had 45, they have a sidewalk in front of their house and we do not. Or maybe they give better candy.
Best costumes - two kids dressed as Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World.
Most ambitious - three kids who only had a single bag they brought to the door but had a wagon to dump everything into. They were apparently on their second wagon load by the time they got to my place.

Industrious bastards.
Best costume by our place were two young teenagers that had a tandem costume of two guys rowing a canoe. It got stuck on our porch but they managed it.
You had to throw the candy into the canoe because they were faux-paddling. Pretty good...
