Yeah yeah yeah, you’re right. If we had those things we’d be all stars.

Dube finished +1.
Hathaway was even, and Andersson only finished -1 because of that Gio giveaway on goal #9.

I will take this positive out of that game:
We have a game like this every October. Usually it's against McDavid and the Oilers but this wasn't, so I can live with it.

What a load of garbage! That was embarrassing, after our home record last year and then a game like this the Flames should be ashamed of how they play in front of their fans, What a joke!.
At least we get to find out what kind of coach we have depending on how this team responds over the next few games.

It looks like this team needs a lot of practice. Shot pass accuracy, pp, pk, goalkeeper. In other word everything needs to addressed.

Could've been worse.
Luckily I'm not too attached to hockey so far this season. It's paying dividends in terms of emotional/physical health lol. This team is all over the board and it would be too much on my heart to be all in right now. Definitely one of those "screw hockey" nights, though.

This might sound like a hot take, as I did not watch the game because I was working and just saw the score updates:
I think we are too light on Giordano around here. Not for his play, but the last few years of his captaincy have been tough as fans- the team rarely comes motivated, seems undisciplined. We pin it on the coaches but some of it has to come from internal leadership. Where is the captain's voice in this!

No words to describe this game, just grotesque, vile and putrid. Feel bad for the Flames fans who paid money to watch that. Lot of soul searching needs to be done so this season doesn’t spin completely out of control. This loss better completely alter the defensive structure of this team because for a team this talented, it’s unfathomable that they’re the worst team in the league in high danger scoring chances allowed. Completely unacceptable. No goaltender can be successful with this type of defensive play.
