I realize you're just warming up your passive-aggressive muscles to get ready for the season, but it's not like we haven't already had 70 games of him on that line to help us come to that conclusion.

Same here. Usually up til 3 am anyway, so this is not a difficult thing to stay up to watch.

So looking forward to watching hockey again.

But why complain about lines in a pre-season game? The FIRST pre-season game, to wit?!

If Hathaway is still on that line come opening night, then there is most certainly room for complaining, but not today.

I’ve gotten so used to games being on in the morning I’m not sure how to handle one being played in the afternoon/early evening here. I’m thinking of ordering a pizza and actually having a beer or two to celebrate this special occasion.

I will watch tonight too. Worked many night shifts over the years so no big deal about the start time for me. Curious to see what kind of crowd they get for it. My friend just across the border in Hong Kong hasn't heard a thing about the games coming up but I suppose that isn't a big surprise. Lots of other stuff going on in that massive city.

He certainly wasn't the worst player on the team last season...also its the first preseason game...to criticize the roster at this point is ridiculous

nothing passive about my post

Really excited to see a powerplay that Dave Cameron is not involved with.

Excited to finally get eyes on Neal, Lindholm, Hanifin and to see how they're going to fill the holes in the core of this team. I'm genuinely excited for this season after the work Treliving has put in balancing out this roster.

I'm in Hawaii, so an 8:30 PM start time works for me!

I can not remember the last time I was this excited for preseason. Let's drop the puck! Here is a little piece of Friedman's 30 thoughts that got me excited to see the debut of Neal tonight:

25. Asked teammate Pierre-Edouard Bellemare if, looking back at it, there was anyone on last year’s Knights who surprised him in a positive way. Someone who he wasn’t sure about upon first meeting them.
“I’m not a hockey nerd like some other players,” Bellemare replied. “I had to Google some of the guys. I would say James Neal. I saw him, saw how he carries himself like a superstar, and I was not sure. But the more I got to know him, the more important I realized he was. In the playoffs, the way he talked, most of us had never gone that far. He told us what to expect and how good we could be.”
Bellemare added that he thought the Golden Knights were going to find a way to come back in the Stanley Cup final until the final few seconds of Game 5.

I'm excited like everyone to see Neal, Lindholm and Hanifin... but the guy I might be most excited about seeing is Czarnik.

I think the Flames may have found themselves a gem here. Only time will tell, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what he brings to the team.

PVR programmed... A wake up and Flames hockey is back on after a way to long offseason.
So up at 7 am
Coffee and toast
Turn on TV and crack open a beer in celly of a new season and my optimistic hope knowing it’s still preseason, but still so stoked.
