This is going to make TSN and Sportsnet unbearable and unwatchable, especially TSN. There will be a literally no coverage about anything except for the Leafs for the next 3 months and God help us all if the Leafs are a top tier team, we will be in an information black hole for any team outside of Toronto.

He's going to be expected to put up top 5 stats every season or he's going to hear it everyday in that market. The scoring slumps are going to be amplified as are the regular season and playoff failures. Signing in Toronto probably sounds a lot better than the reality of playing in that market.

"Childhood dream" garbage was not necessary in that note to Isles fans. Wouldn't have visited 5 other teams across the continent if that was the deciding factor.
Lost some respect for him t through this and dislike thr hype over everything Leafs at the best of times, it will be ramped up another degree now.

they did, but the NYI should have traded him instead of keeping him past the trade deadline.
if we lose Gaudreau for nothing, i'd say the same thing.
if JT asked NYI not to trade him and they complied based on a promise, then I stand by my comment
Asset management... maybe its poetic that the NYI f'd things up, even at the end

They never mention the Flames anyway, so I welcome blanketing Leafs coverage pushing Oiler and Jet coverage back into the background where it belongs.
