Mangiapane should be on the lineup. 3LW is a huge hole right now.

Yep, two lines in the last ten minutes of a back to back is the way to go.

3LW and 3RW.
I don't agree with wishing for Mangiapane to return, however. I am much more optimistic about his future outlook, but I don't think he is ready. I think he will become a player though!

If that’s what it takes to keep Brouwer off the ice then so be it

Mangiapane looked like he wasn't ready to play at this level IMO. Let him keep his confidence and be a key piece in Stockton. There's always next years camp for him to come in and make a difference.

I have to agree. This year isn't his year. 10 games without a point is enough evidence of that. Still, his AHL numbers are fantastic. I hope to see Mangiapane, Foo and Klimchuck make a push next year.
Ferland is a big part of this team, and it will be nice to have him back. Hopefully Vertseeg and Shore give the Flames more bottom six options soon.
That being said, the Bottom six is pretty grim tonight, the Flames have no offensive depth at the moment.

So we had some bad RW depth and picked up a RW in Stewart off of Waivers.
And now we're playing him on the LW? Um...kay.....

Janko is seeing the full spectrum of being a player in the NHL. Starts his career playing with a legend in Jagr now he has Stewart and Hath as his linemates. You can call that the 3rd line but you know Stajan and Brouwer's line will get more ice time. That is how GG likes it.

It seems like Mangi is built to handle adversity so I expect he comes back next season better than ever... Only to be sent down because he is waiver exempt.

Not especially.
He might have been rough in some games, but his most recent game was strong and getting that first point can be a big hurdle. Jankowski took eight games to score a point and had a far better linemate in Bennett than the Brouwers and Stajans Mangiapane was usually playing with. Bennett took fifteen games before he scored a point this year. Jankowski had another seven game pointless streak. Jankowski had another eleven game pointless streak. Lazar had nine, eight, and eleven game pointless streaks. Frolik, playing with Tkachuk, had a six game pointless streak.
For bottom six guys not on a power play, in a system like hours that is anti-scoring, points tend to come in bunches, and Mangiapane just needs to see that first one go in.

I agree that he was showing signs of figuring it out at the NHL level. He needs to build strength for next season, however, as he does get pushed around a lot.

This is a good point. The big difference I believe is timing. Those other players struggled early when the stakes were low. The focus of this team from now on is producing now. Which begs the debate, are Shore and Stewart going to produce more right now? its hard for me to take sides because of the sample size. Still, I don't think we will see Mangiapane again this year, and I don't think that Mangiapane is the difference maker this team needs right now.

May have a better chance if sources are verified and they list all the supported platforms in the post (which hopefully includes iOS/Safari)
