Sure, the option is there but I really doubt other GM's are equally willing to flip highly coveted first and second round picks to do so when we're talking about under performing players off the Flames roster going the other way (hamonic, brodie, hamilton). If it were that easy the team would have 3 or 4 picks in the first two rounds every year. Would you be pleased if the Flames traded a hypothetical first rounder for Klefbom or similar struggling D man? I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

Hrivik has played NHL games and is 26 yrs old so I think if there’s anyone who’s the most ready to jump back into the NHL from the minors, it’s gotta be him. Hoping this team can finally solidify all 4 lines because that could be huge going forward for our push towards the playoffs.
