I'm not sure who he was matched against for those shifts but again it's totally dependant on which forward line he spent the most time with and which line he was paired against. I just don't believe that part of 1 period is enough to say that it's a blessing in disguise that a certain player got injured
Well normally I would tend to agree with you but since we are sitting here narrowly earning a W against a very tough opponent I think that it is quite likely that it was a blessing in disguise. But let's not split hair here and just enjoy being in third place for the time being. And also curse the fact that it is probably in our best interest that the stupid Cansucks win tonight.

If Hamonic is on IR does that mean that he will not be available after the Christmas break?

Player put on IR can't be used for 7 days.
IR can be retroactive to the game the player got injured.

Assuming Flames put Hamonic on IR retroactive to Wednesday against the Blues, he should be available for the Sharks game on Dec 28th which is the next game after Montreal (assuming he is healthy)

Thanks.

With just this one game to play before the break I wonder what the purpose would be to place him on IR unless they have deemed him unlikely to return in time for the 28th.

To bring up Rasmus to play this 1 game, without Hamonic on IR, I don't think they could recall him. Way better option than Bart.
