If it's any consolation, they were in trouble against the Coyotes.

That was one of the more structured games the Leafs have played all season.

Perfect road game.

I love watching Gaudreau when he picks up steam going through centre ice. He's legs move so fast it looks like he is dancing.

Stajan, Freddie, Lazar are basically unplayable, Sam and Brouwer not far behind...

The Flames are at their best when they get pucks deep and put pressure on the opposition d men. We saw none of that tonight. They were a step behind the Leafs all night and they had us running around in our own end. They played our game to perfection causing us to repeatedly turnover pucks.

50% of this team's forwards aren't producing at all in a season where goals and offensive production are up across the league. Until that changes this team is not going to win consistently.

If you aren't a Stamps fan but are a Flames fan obviously you would take a Flames win over a Stamps win

too bad we lose both lol

How do you screw that up? That D core is the envy of 90% of the league and yet we can't figure out a system that tightens things up and limits mindless turnovers?
If Trotz gets the boot in Washington, I bet he could get a solid effort out of that group.

Are the Flames bottom six the worst in the NHL in points?

Maybe if you live outside of Calgary but if you live in the city that’s pretty lame.

I'd give my left nut for Trotz, team should've hired Gallant too. GG is soft and this team is now becoming very very soft, something needs to change

You literally didn't watch him play then. He was one of the few guys that came to play tonight. +/- rarely tells the full story.

the reluctance to change up the lines or d pairings is really starting to piss me off.

the 3M line is not clicking like they did last year, the bottom 6 are basically offensively challenged. Why not split up the 3M line, move one of our best forwards in tkachuk else where to try to get others going. Jankowski looks like he's really getting good at the cycle game with Jagr, why not throw tkachuk on the wing on that line? He can cycle, and is sneakily one of the team's best playmakers/passers.

hamonic brodie look terrible together. Stone/kulak struggled again together, heck, kulak only played 11min tonight.

we're almost 25 games in, flames are in the bottom third for goals/shots for per game, ditto for goals/shots against.

I get that the record is ok, but shouldn't the coach be frustrated and changing things up.

I suppose we're waiting for december before trying to improve.

Yes I literally did. Hyman walked around him like he was Bartkowski on the second goal. He was -3. I watched the entire game man.

I mean he did get beat off the wall on the 2nd goal, but where the hell were his teammates to help him out for once? The guy constantly covers up for his partner/teammates, and they can't do the same for him on one measly play?

No, if I'm Gio I'm ripping them for a lazy effort tonight. Way too many guys looked to be in 2nd gear. He's the leader...so lead in the dressing room as well as on the ice.

I’m not sure that’s true. The Leafs are winning at a pretty good clip and many of their guys are struggling offensively so far. Marner, Nylander, Komarov etc.
