I think you may be a little confused. People weren't ****ting on the line itself, it was the fact that it couldn't actually be a line in a game due to waiver restrictions.
Either Jagr was still injured or Janksowski was going down.

I saw that, but they're only commenting on it not being possible for the immediate game. They're ####ting on GG for trying the line -- more accurately.
The comments aren't wrong and they are all valid points -- but to immediately jump to negative is grueling to read. It's like the boss asks you for a meeting and you assume you're fired. Just chill, maybe you're getting recognized for something great you've done. This is the line we all want, but instead we're talking about waiver restrictions in seeing this right away. GG is looking further down the road than right now.
If Jagr needs to get some reps in, and Jankowski is on the team this is a great opportunity to see what this line can do. If you like it, F. Hamilton, Bartkowski or Glass could be waived and that line can happen.

Re: Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr - on paper it's constructed stylistically very similar to Huberdeau-Barkov-Jagr. It should be a good line. I still don't see Bennett getting his confidence back until we get him real some power play time with a set up, though.

It's exhausting, and way over the top. There have certainly been a few games that weren't great, but we didn't come into this season billed as SC locks. We'll have stumbles, we're early in the season and we have a lot of great things happening.
Smith has been great
We have freakin' Jagr on this team
Bennett showed us flashes of brilliance in preseason that we should be excited about
Jankowski is on the team
3M looks good again
Monahan has shown he wants #1
Gaudreau's lower body is impressively powerful
Hamonic has been the stable guy we needed to activate Brodie
It's been a fun year so far, but a lot of you seem to be hunting for negative. Let the team click, and we can compete with the best in the league. How any of you watched that Nashville game and weren't excited for what we have here is puzzling.
Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr is exactly the line some of us dreamed of. Yet we have 2 pages of ####ting on it.

They aren't wrong with the bright spots.
But trying to pretend its all good when you are 5-6 a month into the hockey season is a mistake. Good teams win games, simple as that. To be sitting under .500 with holes all over the place is not a time to look at the bright side.
I think the next 3 games will be incredibly telling. The systems will click like last year, Flames will start scoring and winning, and we'll be 2 games above .500 and everything will be ok. OR we are 5 games under .500 and the sky really starts falling.
We will see. I thought Gully had something going last year, but the reality is were it not for one hot streak in the new year, there'd be no playoffs, and there'd be no GG behind the bench to even start this year.
I don't want revolving door of coaches, I don't want a revolving door of goalies, I think consistency is key, and I truly believed having everyone in camp, and having a full camp from GG would start us off on the right foot. But what I'm seeing is that GG's camps don't prepare the team to win or cement the system. 11 games later the guys still look slow and stuck in thought, trying to think of what to do next.
3 more games. They may not be pretty to watch, but its a pressure cooker right now. 3 more games and the either it's all good again or we need immediate changes before the season is scuttled.

Nope, they are not. They just said In another thread that all the Flames game this year were entertaining. There’s no way even the most bias of fans could even think that this year.

Stubhub has tickets for $10 lol. What is going on, any caps games before were never this cheap.

Literally gave my tickets away to Scorpy because of zero interest. Totally bizarre.

It's interesting, is the economy to blame or entertainment value isn't there. If the Flames continue to lose, I expect tickets to be practically free haha.

Every year, every team has someone's pet (usually the coach's -- Steve Begin) inexplicably playing. Freddie will be gone soon enough, and Dougie will remember we went as far as we could in allowing him to play with his brother.

I agre many things are more important than money but that is not at all the issue here IMO. If true, it would be putting the interests of one player above the team, and in a most unusual way.

I have enjoyed Versteeg's time as a Flame, I also wondered why he couldn't hold an NHL job for the longest time as he has boat loads of skill, but I am starting to see the Versteeg of old, not the Versteeg who was trying to find his way back to the NHL and willing to do whatever it took to get out of Edmonton.

I feel the same way about Versteeg actually. Was just torn between a bottom line of Verteeg - Stajan - Lazar and Stajan - Lazar - Brouwer.
Ultimately, for the price tag, I'd rather Versteeg.

Sold some tickets near the end of last season.
Flames = bad - tickets impossible to sell
Flames = good - tickets impossible to keep

If someone gets waived before Thursday having that line in practice makes a lot of sense. Unlikely Jagr is going to play so no point in putting anyone on waivers yet. Get some extra practice time with the line and the only impact is on the fourth line where chemistry isn't a major factor anyways.

What does "the most bias of fans" mean?
The bias most fans have?
