What difference does this make?

Flames will just go out and sign a useless plug off a PTO next season and these guys will be sent down.

Oilers are a one line team.
But tonight the Flames were a no line team.

Not happy, that said saw some things I liked and am still excited for this season. Only way the Oilers won was on the back of the best player in the world. D gave very little chances to anyone other than McDavid and holy ####, I think we actually might have goaltending.

This one stings. A lot. But don't read much into it

####ty effort with an unsurprising result. Smith was great and I'm sure the team will bounce back with a good game in Calgary on Saturday. It's a long season, no point getting too low after just one game.

Opening night, against a provincial rival, that you have lost to for over a year straight.

"Let's let McDavid score a hat trick while fans on TV try and figure out which player besides Smith has a pulse"

If i'm the coach I let these guys figure out there own way home.

Replace him with Hathaway when Jagr starts playing.

Hathaway had more spark and jump that most of the Flames roster.

Take that guy away and the oilers are a very average team. Talbots was solid but the Flames didn't do much to challenge him either. The compete level seriously needs to come up, and fast. Gaudreau did nothing all night, which is concerning. It feels like a lot of the creativity is gone from his game. And Brouwer.....ugh.
This is alot of bs. All 4 oiler lines have dominated us for the past 2 years. They have better d and goalie.

But we all know Gulutzen will bark and preach to the cameras and sell us on his words, all to see the exact same lineups again next game. Amateur coach.

Any player that spend a decent portion of the night playing with Brodie had a good chance of getting into the minus column.

Two coming in means we need two going out.

If the Flames want to prove that there's consequences, then Brouwer has to be benched or waived or something. For a guy that's supposed to play with passion and be a heart and soul player, he seems to be lacking in the give a poop department.

When you have the greatest player in the game It's not going to turn out in our favor. We can laugh at the Oilers defense all day but when it comes down to it talent always wins. And it showed tonight. They were the the better team tonignt. They're going to be hard to beat.

I'm glad he did. If the Flames werent embarrassing enough, may as well let your riveal's all star player rub your face in it.

Ideally It'd be better if McDavid scored 5, declared himself a Boot-Trick winner and walked into the Flames dressing room to steal Brodie's shoes, take them home and bronze them with an engravement underneath reading "My bitch"

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
