Maybe, but even with that I doubt the geniuses can figure out if a puck crosses the goal line on a consistent basis.

Flames made the playoffs last season after looking like this in their opener but then again they don't have Paul Maurice as their head coach.

I'm still trying to figure out what the issue is for the Jets. Defense, goaltending, team defense, or a bit of everything?

Their coverage by their d-men looks pretty bad tonight.

The Jets' defense is horrible. Mason is only slightly the problem. They are giving the Leafs solid scoring chances.

It's defense (Byfuglien especially), discipline (Trouba and Byfuglien especially), team defense.

Mason could probably have stood on his head tonight and saved a few goals but it's definitely not on him.

Bad or untimely penalties
Goaltending subpar
Defense often out of position, and forwards don't adequately cover

They badly need a coaching change. Talent is there

Byfuglien is a big problem. Great player but needs to have a shut down guy with him.
