I knew it was ugly but that is atrocious.

Wow. That is insane. One would have to think the Flames are due.

Yeah, anytime that you feel you must open with this rejoinder it only shows that you really do not hate the Oilers—at least, you don't hate them as much as you believe that you do.

Whatever it is it will never compare to anything the Habs will do.

Spector not only has the Oil winning the cup but has McD winning Art Ross and Hart, Talbot winning Vezina and McLellan winning Adams. It is embarrassing what a homer he is.

In his defense, for them to win the cup those other 3 almost have to happen since it's all they have!

Maroon is a serviceable guy to play with McSavior just like Ferland is playing with Johnny.
Yamamoto is tiny but so is Johnny. Caggula on their 3rd line is better than Brouwer on our 3rd line. Also their 4th line with Letestu, who can skate decent and is great at faceoffs, PK, and gets PP time, while anyone that has seen Kassian play, as dumb as he is and looks, he can skate pretty good and is far from being slow.
Do I hope the Oilers have a lotto seat? Hell yes, but let's not make things up about the greasers team because of the passion you have for our team.
|
I'm sorry but what?
Yamamoto will never ever ever be in Gaudreau's stratosphere, he had a nice pre-season, but lets see if he get through the first 9 games of regular season play. Lets be honest they'd better hope he does something because I think the hope and prayer was that JP would actually make the team this year, instead boom boom he and his miniscule hockey IQ sent him back to the AHL.
Brouwer is bad, Caggula is bad, who cares.
Lestestu had a nice career year, but he's more likely to be the next coming of Lance Bouma at the age of 32.
And Kassian might skate ok, but he plays the game slow.

Watched a TSN hockey program first time in a LONG time, I stopped because of the McDavid love. I lasted 15 minutes and changed the channel. The McDavid Oiler love is so unbearable, I can't take the channel seriously.

Hope the coaching staff has our boys ready to go, let's avoid a start like last season and come out of the gates strong. They need to play hungry. E=NG.

More than hungry... they need to be resilient because I think the first period is going to be a McPenalty Parade as the league looks to put a (very temporary) "rules enforcement" stamp on the season.
I still have nightmares about that BS penalty shot in game 2 last year.

I don't see how Janko being sent down purely for logistics is enough to take the fun out of a season opener. I'm beyond excited to watch the boys play and show us what they have.
