I'd just like to watch the best compete against the best. Rather than the best of the rest. Winning that type of tournament doesn't settle anything, the gold will have an asterisk.

Part of the fun, to me anyways, is Canada defending the throne as the best hockey nation in the world. This tournament will not do that, it will be basically meaningless.

Would anyone really care if Usain Bolt won the gold in the 100m if everyone knew there were 100s of guys faster than him in a pro sprinting league. No one would care.
